박 후보는 이번 공약을 두고 “교통 SOC 개선사업은 영천의 대표적인 숙원사업으로 시민의 오랜 염원을 떠올리고 가장 먼저 마련했다”고 말했다.
그러면서 “공공기관‧공기업의 지방 이전이 윤석열 정부의 핵심 국정과제인 만큼 영천 또한 이전 유치를 새로운 시정 목표로 설정하고, 중앙정부 · 지역 정치권과 함께 ‘원팀’을 구성하여 적극적으로 대응할 것”이라고 의지를 내비쳤다.
이에 더해 박영환 후보는 영천시의 문화·복지체계를 전반적으로 개선하는 ‘중장기 로드맵’을 제안했다.
