23일 포항시에 따르면 이번 종합대책은 포항의 도시 정체성을 반영한 건축문화 확산과 시민이 안심하고 거주할 수 있는 기반 마련에 초점을 두고 ▲인허가 ▲정책·규제혁신 ▲디자인 ▲안전 등 4개 분야로 나눠 추진된다.

인허가 분야에서는 지난해 경북도 내 최초로 제작한 건축 인허가 매뉴얼을 상시 보완·확장해 배부하고, 담당 공무원 대상 교육을 강화해 업무의 통일성과 전문성을 높일 계획이다. 필요 시 관련 위원회를 통합 심의해 처리 기간을 단축하고, 지역 산업 기반과 직결된 공장 건축물에 대해서는 ‘공장 신속 인허가 처리제’를 내실 있게 운영해 기업 친화적 환경을 조성한다는 방침이다.
