시는 청년 트렌드 변화와 정책 수요를 반영해 올해 청춘센터 운영 방향을 ‘경험 확장’과 ‘취업역량 강화’ 두 가지 축으로 설정하고, 청년들의 실질적인 사회 진출을 돕는 신규 사업을 중점 추진할 계획이다.

우선 청년들의 내면 성장과 감각 확장을 지원하는 신규 프로그램으로 ‘경험으로 단단해지는 청춘오감(五感) 프로젝트’를 선보인다. 해당 프로젝트는 ▲악기 연주를 직접 체험하는 청감(비긴어게인 청춘) ▲독서를 통한 정서 교류 프로그램 지감(청년 책:담) ▲명사 초청 특강으로 자기계발 인사이트를 제공하는 교감(청년 톡톡) ▲신체 활동을 통한 활력 증진 프로그램 체감(청춘운동장) ▲1인 가구 청년의 식생활을 지원하는 미감(소셜다이닝) 등 5개 테마로 구성된다. 이를 통해 청년들이 일상 속에서 자연스럽게 참여하고 교류하며 다양한 경험을 쌓을 수 있도록 지원할 예정이다.

그 결과 전년 대비 방문자 수가 약 8% 증가해 연간 5,800여 명이 이용하는 지역 대표 청년 거점 공간으로 자리매김했다.
