【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구경북행정통합에 대한 시도민의 의견을 듣는 열린 토론회가 본격 추진된다. 대구경북행정통합공론화위원회(공동위원장 김태일. 하혜수)는 16일 오전 대구시청에서 언론브리핑을 갖고 ‘대구경북행정통합공론화 로드맵 및 온라인 시도민 열린 토론회’ 계획을 발표했다.

온라인 토론회는 오는 12월 19일 1차를 시작으로 총 3회에 걸쳐 비대면 온라인 방법으로 시행되며, 행정통합의 필요성 및 세부 사항별 쟁점에 대한 다양한 의경을 개진할 수 있는 공론의 장을 마련할 목적이다.

회차별 주제도 달리 적용된다. 1차에서는 ‘행정통합의 필요성과 미래상‘에 대하여 논의가 이뤄지고, 2차에서는 ’행정통합의 기본계획과 쟁점‘에 대하여, 3차 회의에서는 ’극복해야 할 과제와 방안’을 주제로 의제 발표와 전문가 패널 토론, 참가자들의 분임 토의와 질의응답 등으로 진행될 예정이다.

토론회에는 시.도민들의 적극적인 참여를 유도할 예정으로, 이를 위해 시군구별로 모집된 360여명의 정규 참가자는 온라인 플랫폼을 통해 양방향 영상회의가 가능토록 했으며, 그외 관심 있는 시.도민들도 유투브를 통해 시청을 하거나 전화질문으로 함께 참여할 수 있도록 했다.

공론화위원회는 이번 토론회를 시작으로 향후 수렴과정을 거쳐 공론화연구단 차원의 ‘대구경북행정통합 기본계획(안)’을 만들 예정이다. 또, 2021년 2월 중순에는 시.도민들이 직접 참가하는 타운홀 미팅 방식의 ‘대구경북 행정통합 대토론회’도 준비 중이라고 밝혔다. 공론화위원회는 이같은 토론회 과정을 거쳐 마련된 시도민의 의견과 판단을 시도지사에 전달한 뒤 역할을 종료하게 된다.

김태일, 하혜수 공동위원장은 “이번 토론회는 시도민의 의견을 행정통합 기본계획에 반영해 수립하기 위한 첫 걸음”이라며 “많은 시.도민들께서 참여해 좋은 의견을 주심으로 좋은 결과를 얻는 데 도움이 될 수 있도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
