이날 장학금 전달식에는 윤옥현 총장과 백열선 산학연구처장, 방사선학과 교수들이 이경만 대표에게 감사의 뜻을 전했고, 김원섭 구미시의원이 함께 하여 자리를 빛냈다.
윤옥현 총장은 “어려운 시기에 후배들을 위해 장학금을 기탁해준 이경만 대표에게 깊은 감사의 마음을 전하며, 뜻에 따라 훌륭한 후학 양성을 위해 잘 사용하겠다.”라며 감사함을 표했다.
이경만 대표는 “작은 금액의 기부에 이런 자리를 마련해 준 대학에 감사드리며, 앞으로도 모교의 발전과 후배들을 위하여 도움이 되도록 노력하겠다.”며 소감을 전했다.
이경만 대표이사는 지역사회발전을 위한 단체인 JCI 서울지구청년회의소 회장을 역임하였으며, 사회적으로 이룩한 성공을 모교의 발전과 후배들을 위해 매년 동문장학금을 기탁하고 있다.
