【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=대구 달서구(구청장 이태훈)는 2023년도 본예산 기준 ‘예산 1조원 시대’를 맞이했다고 16일 밝혔다.

2023년 달서구 예산은 전년도 예산액 9,467억원보다 6.7% 증액된 1조 104억원으로 수도권 일부 자치구를 제외하고는 최초로 예산 1조원 시대를 맞이했다. 

달서구는 지난 한 해 1,300여명 전 직원이 합심해 중앙부처 및 대구시 공모사업에 적극 참여해 122건에 419억원의 국․시비를 확보했고, 지방세 은닉세원의 발굴과 체납세 징수노력을 통한 지방세입 증대를 위해 꾸준히 노력해 왔다.

분야별 예산규모는 지역 고용안정과 경제 활성화를 위한 경제․일자리 분야에 101억원, 사회적 약자 지원과 인구구조 변화에 대응하기 위한 복지․보건분야에 가장 많은 7,321억원을 편성했다.

선사유적 및 생태녹색관광 육성과 문화도시 조성을 위해 문화․관광분야에 173억원, 도시기반 확충과 대구지역 최초로 선정된 그린시티 조성을 위한 도시․환경분야에 734억원을 편성했으며, 공교육 경쟁력 강화 및 글로벌 인재육성을 위한 교육분야에 101억원, 대구경북 기초 지자체 최초로 인증 받은 스마트도시 조성 및 안전분야에 79억원, 일반공공행정분야와 예비비 등에 1,595억원을 편성했다. 

달서구는 지방세입 증대를 위한 지속적인 노력과 중앙부처 및 대구시의 각종 공모․평가에 적극 대응해 부족한 재정을 확충하고 편성된 예산은 계획적이고 생산적으로 집행할 계획이다.

이태훈 달서구청장은 “주민의 소중한 세금이 한 푼도 헛되게 쓰이지 않고 지역 주민의 복지와 삶의 질 향상을 위해 가치 있게 쓰일 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
