【브레이크뉴스 】이성현 기자=대구시교육청(교육감 강은희)이 코로나19의 장기화로 어려움을 겪고 있는 지역경제 활성화를 위해 사업비를 조기 집행한다.

대구시교육청은 15일 어려운 지역경제에 도움이 되고자 소비·투자분야 대상사업 1조 9,482억 원 중 31.3%인 6,092억 원을 1분기 내 집행한다고 밝혔다.

대구시교육청은 2003년 이후 18년 만에 예산규모가 감소세를 보인 어려운 교육재정에도 인건비, 일반운영비 등 소비항목 분야에서 1분기에 5,486억 원 이상 집행하고 투자항목인 시설사업 분야는 606억 원 이상 집행을 목표로 하고 있으며 조기발주, 선금지급, 긴급입찰 등 각종 제도를 적극 활용하여 집행률을 최대한 끌어올릴 예정이다.

또 교육비특별회계 전체 사업에 대한 목표 집행률을 97%로 설정하여 이를 달성하기 위한 노력을 이어간다.

최근 4년간 각 사업별 집행현황 분석을 통해 집행실적이 부진한 98개 사업을 집중 관리할 예정으로 집중관리 대상사업 등의 집행이 부진할 경우 추가경정예산을 통한 사업조정과 재정집행 상황 지속적 점검을 통해 집행률을 제고한다.

아울러 부교육감을 단장으로 하는 재정집행점검단 운영을 더욱 강화해 교육재정 집행률 향상을 유도할 계획이다.

강은희 교육감은 “코로나19로 침체되고 있는 지역경제 활성화의 마중물이 되기 위해서 조기집행 등 적극적인 재정운용이 절실히 필요한 상황이므로, 계획적인 재정운용을 통해 지역경제의 활성화를 촉진하고 예산집행의 효율성을 높여야 할 시기”라고 강조하였다.
