경북 군위군 대구 편입 관련 법률안의 2월 임시국회 처리가 무산된 가운데 중·남구 국회의원 보궐선거에 출마한 주성영 예비후보가 이와 관련한 대구·경북 현직 국회의원들의 태도를 비판하며 나섰다.

주성영 예비후보는 10일 성명서를 통해 “군위군 대구편입과 관련해 지역정치권이 보여주는 모습에 씁쓸함과 환멸, 수치심을 느낀다”면서 강한 비판에 나섰다.

그는 “대구경북에는 3선, 4선의원들은 도대체 뭘 하고 계신 것인가?”라고 물으며 “지역의 百年大計를 위한 사업이 일개 초선의원인 김형동 의원의 반대로 진척이 안 된다는 게 말이 되는 소리이냐?”라며 질타를 이어갔다.

이어 “설사 초선의원이 자기 지역구 변경 가능성 때문에 반대를 하더라도, 다선의원들이 정치력을 발휘해 신속히 매듭지었어야 할 일”이라면서 “군위군 대구 편입은 대구경북 통합신공항 불가분의 관계”라고 강조했다.

그러면서 “아무리 불합리한 부분이 있다 하더라도 약속은 약속”이라며 “우리 TK 정치권도 신뢰를 잃으면, 한순간에 민심이라는 칼바람에 날려갈 것”이라고 거듭 강조했다.

아울러 주성영 예비후보는 “군말 할 것 없다.”면서 “시도민 앞에서 한 약속을 당장 지켜라”라며 대구‧경북 현직 국회의원들을 향한 메시지를 전했다.
