달서구는 ‘일자리 선도로 이루는 혁신경제도시 달서’를 비전으로, 달서구만의 '달서웨이 일자리 프로젝트' 5대 전략을 수립하고, 그에 따른 182개 세부사업들을 추진할 계획이다. 

달서웨이 일자리 프로젝트 5대 전략은 기업혁신 선도 일자리 육성, 청년지역 미래 일자리 창출 ,구인구직 맞춤 일자리 이음, 창업도시 달서 일자리 확충, 함께하는 가치 일자리 상생으로 급변하는 노동시장과 지역의 어려운 경제문제를 극복하고, 다양한 주민 요구를 반영하고자 수립한 달서구만의 맞춤 전략이다.

먼저 기업 및 산업단지의 지속적인 성장이 일자리 사업의 핵심임을 인식해 11억원의 사업비를 투입, 어려운 경제상황 극복과 기업의 기술 혁신 등을 지원하는 20개 세부사업을 추진한다.

또 지역의 미래인 청년을 위하여 87억원의 사업비를 투입, 21개 사업을 추진한다. 

청년창업지원센터 운영과 외식창업 공동체 공간 조성사업으로 청년의 기술창업과 외식업 분야 창업을 지원한다. 

지역 최대 지역주도형 청년일자리사업 운영으로 청년의 정직원 장기근속을 유도하고, 지역 유일 3년 연속 청년도전지원사업 운영으로 구직단념 청년을 위한 차별화된 지원과, 청년 해외취업 지원사업도 운영한다.

특히 산업현장 디지털 전환에 맞춘 청년인력 양성사업 및 지역대학의 인프라를 활용한 고등직업교육거점지구 사업 운영으로 전문 직업교육과정 기회를 다양화 하고, 50플러스센터를 통한 중장년 맞춤형 취업교육 및 평생교육 활성화 지원사업도 적극 추진하여 취업교육과 평생교육을 함께 구현한다.

취약계층을 위한 재정지원 일자리사업의 내실있는 운영과 사업참여자의 취업연계를 위한 취업설명회 개최, 국민취업지원제도 연계로 양질의 일자리 전환을 지원하고, 일자리지원센터 직영과 코로나로 힘들었던 대면 일자리박람회를 확대할 계획이다.
