강은희 교육감 후보가 15일 ‘학교업무지원센터 설치’, ‘교권보호 강화’ 등 가르침 그 자체에서 보람과 긍지를 느낄 수 있도록 선생님 맞춤형 공약을 발표했다.

강 후보는 “지난 2년간 전대미문의 코로나19 펜데믹을 맞았지만 교육가족이 함께 힘을 모아 잘 헤쳐 나오고 있다.”며 “무엇보다도 감염병 상황에서도 2021년부터 전국 최초로 전면등교를 할 수 있었던 것은 교육과 방역을 위해 묵묵히 임해 주신 선생님들의 숭고한 희생이 아니었으면 불가능 했을 것이다.”고 선생님들에게 고마움을 표했다.

그러면서 “우리 선생님의 노력으로 아이들의 학습권과 정서·심리, 건강을 지켜냈으며 그 결과 대구에서는 학습격차가 크게 나타나지 않았고 대학 진학에서도 예년 성적을 뛰어넘는 성과를 거둘 수 있었다.” 라고 밝혔다.

강은희 예비후보는 지난 4년간 대구시교육감으로 재직하면서 ‘교육의 변화는 교실의 변화에서 출발’한다는 믿음으로 선생님들이 수업에 전념할 수 있는 여건을 조성하기 위해 노력한 결과 대구의 학교문화가 눈에 띄게 변하고 있다고 강조했다.

 그러면서 강 후보는 “이번 6.1 지방선거에서 대구시교육감으로 당선되면 지난 4년 간 추진한 학교자율 및 교육권보호, 학교업무 경감 정책을 지속적으로 추진해 나갈 뿐만 아니라 학교가 행정중심이 아닌 교육과정 운영이라는 본연의 역할에 충실할 수 있도록 지원을 강화하겠다.”고 말했다.

이어 주요공약으로  ▲ 전문성이 필요한 학교의 공통 업무를 지원할 ‘학교업무지원센터’ 설립 ▲ 교원 소진 방지 및 회복을 위한 심리・정서적 지원 강화 ▲ 주요보직 교사 행정업무 경감 ▲ 학교자율성과 책무성의 균형으로 학교 책임경영 강화 ▲ 학교 구성원들의 교육과정 문해력 향상 연수 강화 ▲ 교사전문학습 조직의 질적 향상 및 학교 내 학습조직 활성화를 제시했다.
