대구시의사회는 16일 오후 7시 대구시의사회관에서 ‘지역의료, 필수의료 살리기 위한 간담회’를 개최했다.

행사에는 의사 출신 인요한 최고위원, 김상훈 정책위의장, 정해용 국민의힘 수석보좌관 등 여당 지도부와 민복기 대구시의사회장을 비롯한 지역 의료계 인사 30여명이 참석했다.

이날 민복기 대구시의사회장은 “의료개혁은 굉장히 중요한 문제이기 때문에 국민을 위해서 장기 계획이 있어야한다”며 “정부는 국민들과 전공의들에게 사과하고 빠른 시간내에 새로운 해법을 만들어서 지역의료, 필수의료가 다시 되살아나도록 해야한다”고 말했다. 

김상훈 국민의힘 정책위의장은 "의사들이 국민들을 바라보면서 결단해주시길 바라는 마음이다“며 ”이제 시간이 별로 없는 상황인 만큼 최대한 머리를 맞대고 지혜를 짜내서 의정갈등이 해소될 수 있기를 바란다“고 밝혔다.

인요한 국민의힘 최고위원은 "여당 최고위원중 유일한 의사 출신으로써 이 문제를 그냥 방관하면 안된다는 마음으로 이 자리에 나왔다“며 ”모든 것을 원점으로 되돌릴 수는 없지만 대구에서 바람이 불어 의대생과 전공의가 돌아왔으면 좋겠다“고 전했다.
