【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=국민의힘 양금희 의원(대구북구갑)이 재경 경북대학교 총동창회에 제8대 신임회장으로 취임했다.

재경 경북대 총동창회는 지난 9일 프라자호텔에서 ‘정기총회 및 회장 이·취임식’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 김병욱·류성걸·윤두현·정희용·조명희 국회의원을 비롯해 이철우 경상북도 도지사, 이종호 과학기술정보통신부 장관, 강은희 대구광역시교육청 교육감, 홍원화 경북대학교 총장, 김창호 총동창회장 등 약 200여명이 경북대 동문이 참석하며 성황을 이뤘다.

정기총회는 변찬우(김&장 변호사) 재경 동창회장 인사말, 김창호(아진에스텍 대표이사) 총동창회장의 격려사, 홍원화 경북대학교 총장 축사, 이철우 경상북도지사 축사, 감사 및 경과보고 순으로 진행되었다.

행사에서는 농협중앙회 이재식 부회장과 과학기술정보통신부 이종호 장관이 자랑스러운 동문인상을 수상했다. 

재경 총동창회 최초의 공대 출신 회장인 양금희 신임회장은 취임사를 통해 감사와 기쁨을 전했다.

양금희 회장은 “변찬우 전임 회장님과 역대 회장님들께서 만들어 오신 재경 총동창회를 이어받아 자랑스러운 경북대의 이름이 다시 뜨겁게, 다시 자랑스럽게 빛나도록 열심히 뛰겠다.”는 포부를 밝히며 “우리 후배들이 시대를 선도하는 힘찬 발걸음에 견고하고 든든한 디딤돌이 되겠다.”고 전했다.

New chairman Yang Geum-hee, the first president of the Korea Economics Association with an engineering degree, conveyed his gratitude and joy through his inaugural address.

Chairman Yang Geum-hee expressed his aspirations, saying, “I will continue to work hard so that the proud name of Kyungpook National University will shine hotly and proudly again by inheriting the financial and economic alumni reunion created by former president Byun Chan-woo and past presidents.” I will become a solid and reliable stepping stone.”
