국민의힘 대선주자인 윤석열 전 검찰총장 지지자 모임 ‘윤사모’가 이준석 당 대표 규탄에 나섰다.

23일 국민의힘 당사 앞에서 진행된 이번 집회에는 10여명의 윤사모 회원들이 참석해 이준석 대표에게 자진 사퇴와 공정경선을 촉구했다.

이들은 “국민을 대표하는 제1야당 대표가 문 정권에는 너무 관대하면서 오직 당내에서 내부총질으로 분열을 조장하고 정권교체를 못하도록 하는 행위를 하고 있다”면서 “배신감에 분노가 치밀어오른다”고 말했다.

이어 지난 20일 국민의힘 경선준비위원장을 맡았던 서병수 의원이 위원장직에서 자진 사퇴한 것을 언급하며 “내부 분열과 갈등을 불러일으킨 장본인 이준석 대표는 침묵하고 있다”고 지적했다.

그러면서 “유력 대선주자인 윤석열 예비주자를 낙마시키기 위해 골몰하고 있는 이준석 대표가는 스스로 양치기 소년으로 전락했다”고 꼬집었다.

이들은 이준석 대표에 대해 “수수방관하는 태도와 배신의 정치는 누구에게 배운 것인가”라며 “유승민 전 의원을 대통령 만들기 위해 윤석열 후보 죽이기에 혈안이 됐던 것인가”라고 말했다.

그러면서 “어떤 당 대표가 대통령 후보 경선을 앞두고 내부총질로 분열에 치닫게 하는가” 물으며 “즉각 대표직에서 사퇴하라”고 강조했다.

한편 이날 윤석열 전 검찰총장 측은 윤사모의 집회에 대해 “당의 단합을 강조해 온 윤 후보의 뜻을 존중해 집회를 자제해 줄 것을 부탁한다”고 당부한 것으로 알려진다.

윤사모 중앙회 측 또한 “윤사모 중앙회는 이 규탄대회와 무관하며 이 대회를 수락한 적이 없다”며 “윤사모에서 퇴출된 자들이 보수진영의 분열을 초래하는 행위를 계속해 자칫 윤사모 전체와 윤 후보 가는 길에 흠집을 내고 있다”고 선을 그었다.
