【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=계명대(총장 신일희)가 SW·AI 교육캠프를 개최하여 지역 학생들을 교육하고 이수증을 수여했다고 밝혔다.

교육부와 시·도교육청, 한국과학창의재단이 주관하는 해당 프로그램은 학생들에게 SW와 AI에 대한 관심과 흥미를 유발하고 기초적인 디지털 역량을 갖출 수 있도록 지원하는 사업이다. 

사업에 선정된 계명대는 디지털 혁신 선도도시 대구를 이끌어갈 SW·AI 인력 양성을 목표로 겨울방학 기간인 1월 5일부터 3월 12일까지 총 14회에 걸쳐 캠프 형식의 교육을 진행했다.

지역의 초·중·고 학생 1천여 명을 대상으로 진행된 이번 교육캠프는 대구광역시 전략산업분야(인공지능, 빅데이터, 블록체인, 메타버스)와 계명대 특화전공분야(게임, 자율주행자동차, 로봇)로 구성해 ▲블록코딩을 활용한 인공지능 ▲스크래치로 활용하는 AI로봇 제작 ▲태블로를 활용한 빅데이터 분석 ▲로블록스를 활용한 메타버스 ▲블록체인을 활용한 서비스 제작 ▲GMS를 활용한 게임프로그래밍 ▲코딩으로 완성하는 자율주행자동차 ▲코딩으로 배우는 자율 로봇 제작 등 학생들의 흥미를 유발하는 체험형 실습 위주의 교육이 진행되어 호응이 이어졌다.

신일희 계명대 총장은 “시대에 맞춰 교육도 변화와 혁신이 필요하다. 4차산업혁명 시대가 도래하고 디지털 산업이 미래 먹거리로 자리매김 하면서, 학생들에게 기본적인 디지털 역량을 길러주고 새 시대를 선도할 인재를 양성하는 것은 대학의 책무이다.”고 말했다.
