이날 박주민 의원의 방문에 대구시의회의 한 의원은 “대구가 자꾸 정책에서 소외되고 있는데, 이것이 대구에 더불어민주당 국회의원이 한명도 없어서 그런 것이 아닌가 하는 생각이 든다”면서 “중앙에서 활동하는 국회의원들이 대구를 자주 방문하고, 신경을 써서 대구를 적극적으로 도와달라”는 요청을 전달했다.

이에 박주민 의원은 “정부와의 원활한 소통을 위하여 김부겸 전 행안부 장관의 총리 입각을 적극 돕겠다”고 답변했다.
