권성동 원내대표는 “10조 원 규모 정부 추경안엔 여야 간 쟁점이 없는 여야 간 쟁점이 없는 산불 피해, AI 대응 등 긴급 예산만 포함됐다”며 “우선 이를 신속히 통과시킨 다음 여야가 각각 요구하는 부분은 별도 한다“고 말했다.
또한 국민의힘은 지난 27일 산불로 인해 순연된 본회의를 4월 3일에 열고 그 이후에 4월 임시국회 일정을 합의하자는 입장을 밝혔다.
결렬된 회담은 대형 산불 후속 조치 등 시급한 사안이 산적한 만큼 오후 4시께 다시 개최될 예정이다.
