【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=밤새 11호 태풍 힌남노의 이동 상황을 예의 주시하며 피해 상황을 보니터링 한 이철우 경북도지사는 6일 오전 ‘태풍 힌남노 대비 상황점검회의’를 마치고 곧바로 태풍의 최대 피해 현장인 경주와 포항으로 달려갔다.

이 지사는 경조의 강동면복지회관과 왕신저수지 등을 찾아 피해상황과 복구 대책 등에 대해 보고를 받고 “인력, 장비 등 가용자원을 총동원해 응급복구를 조속히 추진하라”면서“빠른 시일 안에 안정된 생업을 영위할 수 있도록 모든 행정력을 동원하겠다”고 피해 주민들을 위로했다.

이어 이번 태풍으로 가장 큰 피해를 입은 포항 대송면 다목적복지회관과 인근 피해 지역을 둘러 본 이 지사는 현장에서 피해 복구에 나선 이들을 격려하고 피해 상황을 보고받았다. 

경주와 포항서 집중적인 피해 발생

이번 태풍 힌남노는 6일 새벽 포항과 경주에 상륙해 시간당 80mm의 엄청난 비를 뿌렸다. 또한 중심기압 935핵토파스칼의 강력한 바람으로 전신주와 건물 등을 위협했다. 

이같은 힌남노의 위력은 경북지역에 많은 피해를 가져왔다. 6일 오후 2시 기준으로 인명피해는 전체 13명으로 파악됐다. 이 가운데  사망이 2명, 실종 10명, 부상 1명 등으로 나타났다. 

또 시설피해는 총 472건으로 사유시설 160건, 공공시설 312건으로 이중 262건(55.5%)에 대해서는 응급 복구를 완료했다. 이외에도 농작물 피해 2363ha(침수 2002, 도복 49.3, 낙과 278.3 시설 5, 유실매몰 28), 차량침수 1500여대, 축사시설 파손 2동 등 피해규모는 계속 커지고 있는 상황이다.

한편, 경북도는 전 인력을 동원해 지역의 피해 조사 및 응급복구를 추진하고, 전체 피해 규모를 파악해 국가적 차원의 종합적인 지원 방안도 모색할 방침이다.

이철우 경북도지사는 “가용 가능한 인력을 총동원해 실종자 수색과 피해 복구에 적극 나서 달라. 실종되신 분들 꼭 찾아내 가족 곁으로 모셔 달라”며 “명절을 앞두고 큰 시름에 빠진 주민들이 조속히 일상으로 복귀할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
