9일(화) 중구 명덕로 소재 본사에서 체결된 이번 협약은 최근 중대재해에 대한 사회적 관심과 정책에 발맞춰 양 기관이 보유하고 있는 역량과 자원을 적극 활용해 근로자의 재해예방과 안전문화 확산 등 도시가스 중대재해 예방시스템 강화를 위해 실시됐다.

협약 이후 양 기관은 전문인력 양성을 위한 교육 및 인적자원 교류와 재해 예방을 위한 안전진단 기술지원, 시설물 합동안전점검 및 위험성 평가, 안전문화 확산을 위한 캠페인 및 자율보건관리 체계 구축 등의 분야에서 상호 협력해 나갈 계획이다. 

이날 협약을 체결한 대한산업안전협회는 현장 중심의 산재예방 활동과 국민들이 안전의식 향상과 안전문화 정착을 위한 교육, 컨설팅, 안전인증, 시설진단 등 다양한 사업을 진행하고 있다. 

대성에너지 우중본 대표이사는 “에너지 산업은 안전경영을 기반으로 한 가치창출이 최우선 되어야 한다.”며 “이번 협약을 통해 근로자의 산업재해 예방을 더욱 강화하고 나아가 고객들에게 안전한 에너지 공급을 위한 시스템 확립에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 다짐했다.
