경상북도의회 행정보건복지위원회 김하수 위원장(청도)이 제 1회 지방의회복지대상의 첫 수상자로 선정되었다.

지난 29일 오후 1시30분 대구대학교 사회과학대학 강당에서 열린 지방의회복지대상은 한국사회복지사협회가 올해 처음으로 실시하는 것으로 광역의회별 현역의원을 대상으로 지방사회복지사협회의 추천을 받아 수상자를 선정했다.

이를 통해 ‘제1회 지방의회복지대상’의 전국 첫 수상자로 선정된 김하수 의원은 지난 2012년 ‘경상북도 사회복지사 등의 처우 및 지위 향상에 관한 조례’를 제정하고, 2021년 8월에는 사회복지사의 변화된 복지환경에 맞춰 조례 개정을 발의하는 등 사회복지사에 대한 관심과 제도적 개선을 위해 많은 노력을 해 온 것으로 알려진다.

  김하수 위원장은 “지방의회복지대상 첫 수상자로 선정되어 매우 영광스럽게 생각하며, 여러 가지 어려운 여건속에서도 사회복지 업무를 성실히 수행하고 있는 사회복지사 여러분의 노고에 감사드린다”고 전하면서 “사회복지사의 역할이 우리사회에서 매우 중요함으로 앞으로도 사회복지사 처우 및 지위향상을 위해 더 많은 노력을 기울이겠다”고 밝혔다.
