【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=대구 동구청(구청장 윤석준)이 ‘2022년도 도시재생 추진실태 평가’에서 8개 구·군 가운데 최우수기관으로 선정됐다고 13일 밝혔다.
도시재생 추진실태 평가는 현장 중심의 모니터링과 서면 평가로 우수 사례를 발굴·공유하고, 성과를 유도해 지속적인 도시재생사업 확산과 추진동력을 확보하는 것이 목적이다.
이번 평가에서 동구는 도시재생사업 체계적 관리, 구·군 자체도시재생사업, 성과관리, 수상 실적, 제도개선 건의 및 의견제출, 사업 홍보실적 등에서 높은 점수를 받아 최우수 기관으로 선정됐다.
동구는 지난 2014년부터 ‘안심창조밸리 조성사업’, ‘천연기념물 ONE 도동측백문화마을 조성사업’에 이어 도시재생뉴딜사업으로 ‘효목2동 소소한 이야기, 소목골’, ‘불로동 지켜온 천년, 만들어갈 백년 불로고분마을’ 사업 등 지속적으로 도시재생사업을 발굴하고, 추진해 오고 있다.
특히 올해는 지난 2021년 국토교통부 도시재생뉴딜사업 공모에서 선정된 불로동 뉴딜사업이 첫발을 내딛어 사업 첫해 부지매입을 완료하고, 주민공동체 기반을 구축했다.
윤석준 동구청장은 “주민과 함께 많은 역경을 딛고 사업을 꾸준히 추진해 왔던 과정이 동구만의 특색 있는 도시재생사업으로 좋은 평가를 받았다는 점을 뜻깊게 생각한다”며 “대구시 최우수기관 선정에 안주하지 않고 앞으로도 진행 중인 사업의 원활한 추진과 지속적인 사업발굴에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
