지난 10일 홍준표 대구시장은 경북 의성군이 대구경북(TK)통합신공항 항공터미널 위치에 대해 강하게 반발하자 대구경북통합신공항을 군위군 우보면에 건설하는 ‘플랜B’를 검토하라고 밝혔다.

이에 대해 조원진 대표는 “TK신공항을 원점에서 재검토하면 사업이 10년 넘게 지연될 수 있다”고 우려했다. 

그러면서 “내 생각대로 되지 않으면 무조건 판을 깨는 행태는 옳지 않다”며 “신뢰가 생명인 행정을 독단적으로 처리하는 오만한 외골수 정치인 홍준표 방식을 버려야 한다”고 지적했다.

그는 “홍준표 대구시장의 최근 돌출 행동을 보면 ‘참을 수 없는 존재의 가벼움’이라는 밀란 쿤데라의 소설이 생각이 난다”며 “대구시장은 모름지기 진중하고, 묵직해야 한다”고 강조했다.

아울러 “깃털보다 가벼운 행동을 지속하면 결국 피해는 TK주민의 몫이다”며 “이제라도 TK주민이 행복할 수 있는 행정을 펼치길 기대한다”고 말했다.
