16일 군에 따르면 이날 행사에는 DGIST 국 양 총장, 황재윤 기획처장, 한주탁 기술사업화진흥센터장, 홍상훈 기획조정실장 등이 참석한 가운데, 양 기관은 지속성장 가능한 공동사업의 수행과 상호 유익한 협력관계 구축을 약속했다.
주요 협약내용으로는 달성 청년혁신센터 위수탁 운영, 창업생태계 구축과 청년 창업가 육성을 위한 정책 수립 ,지역 신성장 동력 창출을 위한 기술혁신 플랫폼 제공, 지속 성장 가능한 공동사업 수행 및 네트워크 구축, 기타 지역발전을 위한 공동 관심사항 협력 등이 포함됐다.
최재훈 달성군수는 “국내 유일 융복합 과학기술 특성화 대학인 DGIST와의 MOU 체결은 단순한 협력관계를 넘어 실질적․효율적인 협력관계로 나아가 달성의 경쟁력 강화와 사회적 가치를 창출하는데 크게 이바지 할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
