【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=채한성 더불어민주당 후보가 경상북도의원 구미시 제4선거구(상모사곡, 임오)에 단수 공천을 확정 받아 본격적인 선거운동에 돌입한다고 20일 밝혔다.

오는 4월 5일 치러지는 재보궐 선거에서 경북 구미시 제4선거구(상모사곡, 임오)에 출사표를 던진 채한성 후보는 지난 16일 후보 등록을 마쳤다고 전했다.

현재 중앙당정책위부의장을 역임하고 있는 채한성 후보는 (주)희망나눔터 사외이사, 전 상모사곡동통장협의회장, 전 상모한신휴플러스 입주자대표회장 등으로 활동하며 지역 주민들과 긴밀한 관계를 가져온 것으로 알려진다.

채 후보는 “시민들과의 약속을 지키지 못한 이들을 또다시 선택해선 안된다.”며 “지금까지 보수만 고집하여 수십 년간 우리 지역이 바뀐 것이 얼마나 있으며, 그만큼 겪어봤으면 바꿀 때가 왔다 바꿔야 한다면 바로 지금이다”라고 목소리를 높였다.

그러면서 “지역을 속속들이 아는 우리 지역의 전문가로서 책임감 있게 지역의 민원을 책임지겠다.”며 “전문가는 자신의 일에 책임을 지는 사람이자 책임은 의지, 확신, 자신감이 담겨있는 단어”라고 강조하며 포부를 전했다.

한편 2023 상반기 재·보궐선거는 4월 5일 오전 6시부터 오후 8시까지 진행될 예정으로 임시공휴일이 아니다.

사전투표는 3월 31일부터 4월 1일 매일 오전 6시부터 오후 6시까지 진행되며 코로나19 격리 유권자는 4월 1일 오후 6시 30분부터 오후 8시까지 투표를 할 수 있다.

Early voting will be held from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm daily from March 31 to April 1, and voters under quarantine due to COVID-19 can vote from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm on April 1.
