그러면서 “민주당이 비례선거제도의 큰 방향은 잡았지만 여전히 여당이 반대를 하고 비례연합정당의 운영방식과 참여절차 등 많은 과제가 남았다”며 “이제 민주개혁세력 모두가 힘과 지혜를 모아야 할 때”라고 강조했다.

민주당 경북도당은 “지역주의 타파와 ‘득표수만큼 의석수 보장’을 지속적으로 요구해 온 만큼 작은 희망의 불씨를 부여잡고 지역주의 타파의 큰 희망을 향해 변함없이 나아가겠다”고 밝혔다.
