8일 오후 1시, 더불어민주당 대구시당 김대중홀에서 기자회견을 연 박 전 의원은 “북구를 대구의 중심으로 만들겠다”며 출마에 나서는 포부를 밝혔다.

박 전 의원은 “4년 내내 무엇을 한지 모르는 국회의원, 심지어 존재감조차 없는 국회의원을 심판해야한다”며 “더불어 어디에서 날아올지 모르는 철새 정치인도 경계해야 한다”고 강조했다.

아울러 그는 “국회의원에 당선 시켜주신다면 4년 안에 대구 중심 북구갑을 만들겠다”며 “북구 갑 주민들을 위해 헌신하고 노력해 반드시 발전을 이루겠다”고 덧붙여 말했다.
