6일 더불어민주당 대구시당 정기대의원대회가 대구 북구 산격동 엑스코 그랜드볼룸 A홀에서 개최되어 시당위원장 후보들의 연설과 현장투표가 진행되었다.

이번 정기대의원대회에서 민주당 대구시당위원장 후보로는 수성구 갑 강민구 지역위원장, 수성구 을 김용락 지역위원장, 달서구 갑 권택흥 지역위원장, 달서구 을 김성태 지역위원장이 출마했다.

대구시당위원장 선출은 대구지역 전국대의원 현장투표 50%와 권리당원 온라인 및 ARS 투표 50%를 합산해 진행되었다.

이날 대구시당 정기대의원대회에서 진행된 현장투표는 대의원 507명 중 388명이 참석해 76.73%의 투표율을 보였으며 권리당원 온라인 및 ARS 투표는 7497명 중 3823명이 투표에 참여해 50.99%의 투표율을 보였다.

대구시당위원장 투표는 선거관리위원회의 결정에 따라 당선자 득표율만 발표되었다. 강민구 당선자는 이날 34.17%의 득표율을 얻었다. 

강민구 당선자는 “약속한대로 하나 된 민주당 더 큰 민주당을 위해 정진하겠다.”면서 “대구시당의 주인은 여러분이다. 연설한대로 시당의 문턱을 없애서 누구나 드나들기 쉬운 대구시당으로 만들겠다.”며 강조했다.
