21일 오전 11시 더불어민주당 대구시당 당사에서 기자간담회를 개최한 강 위원장은 홍 시장을 향해 “즉흥적이고 치적용 행정이 아닌 경제위기를 대비하고 시민의 걱정을 덜어주는 행정에 진심을 보여야 한다.”고 지적했다.

그는 “올해 상반기에 구미와 협약된 취수원 이전 문제, 임기 내 부채 상환과 건립 비용 마련을 위한 신청사 부지 민간 매각 문제 등에 대해 시의회 및 대구 시민과 전혀 협의가 없다.”면서 “4년 후면 대구 떠날 사람이 자기 마음대로 저지르고 있는 것이 우려된다.”고 말했다.

그러면서 “민주당 대구시당이 홍 시장의 독선적인 정책을 철저히 감시할 것”이라며 “모든 역량을 집중해 대구시가 대구 시민들에게 올바르게 다가갈 수 있도록 비판하고 협조 할 일은 적극 하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
