27일 경북도에 따르면 이날 간담회에서 이 지사는 시도지사협의를 대표해 시도지사에게 권한 위임된 개발제한구역 해제 권한을 비수도권에 한해 30만㎡에서 100만㎡까지 확대하고 해제가능 물량 범위 내에서 시도지사가 자율적으로 해제할 수 있도록 제도개선을 요구했다.

또한 경북지역발전 및 미래 먹거리와 일자리 창출을 위해 신규 국가산업단지 후보지 선정, 대구경북신공항 조기건설, 대구경북 광역철도(서대구~의성)건설, 고속도로 예비타당성조사 조기 추진, 대구권 광역철도 2단계(김천~구미)건설 등 경북 SOC사업 5건에 대해 국토교통부의 적극적인 지원을 요청했다.

신규 국가산업단지 후보지 선정은 원전・수소・백신산업 육성으로 지역 균형발전과 국가경쟁력 강화를 위해 경주 SMR, 울진 원자력수소, 안동 생명그린밸리 산단이 후보지로 선정되도록 요청했다.
