첫 접종은 26일 9시 30분경 부부의사로 알려졌다. 2013년부터 한솔요양병원(북구 소재)을 운영해 온 황순구(61세)씨와 이명옥(60세)씨는 병원을 직접 운영하면서 종사자와 입원환자의 주기적 선제검사에 적극적으로 참여하고 있고, 현재까지 코로나19 확진자가 발생하지 않은 것으로 알려졌다.

이날 권영진 대구시장은 한솔요양병원을 방문해 첫 접종자와 접종 의료진을 격려한다. 이와 함께 요양시설 1호 접종은 2008년부터 13년간 닥터김노인요양센터(중구 소재)를 운영해 온 시설장인 사회복지사 김혜원씨(61세)로 중구보건소에서 접종한다.

대구시는 26일부터 아스트라제네카 백신 접종을 시작해 요양병원은 3월 10일까지, 요양시설은 3월 말까지 촉탁의나 보건소 방문접종 또는 보건소 내소접종을 통해 1차 접종을 완료할 계획이다. 또, 고위험 의료기관 종사자는 3월 8일부터, 코로나19 1차 대응요원은 3월 22일부터 접종을 시작해 순차적으로 확대한다는 방침이다.
