진보당 대구시당과 민주노총 대구지역본부는 기자회견을 통해 “LH 임직원들의 범죄행각은 집값을 잡겠다는 정부의 정책을 비웃음거리로 만들고 국민들에게는 엄청난 실망과 분노를 안겨다주었다”면서 “LH에서 조성하는 대구 연호지구, 대구도시공사의 대구대공원, 금호워터폴리스 등 사업이 본격적으로 추진되기 전 토지 거래량이 급증하는 양상을 보이는 등 투기 의혹이 제기 되고 있다”고 지적했다.

이어 “개발사업을 진행하는 LH, DH 뿐만 아니라 고위공직자, 지역정치인에 대해서도 성역 없고 전면적인 조사가 필요하다”고 주장하며 “나아가 공직자들의 부동산 자산 증식을 원천 차단할 수 있는 근본 대책을 도입해야 한다”고 강조했다.

이들은 기자회견에 이어 서남진 한국토지주택공사(LH) 대구지역본부장 항의 면담 서한을 전달했다.
