【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청(교육감 강은희)은 지역 여건에 맞는 늘봄학교 모델 마련을 위해 4개교를 연구학교로 선정했다고 밝혔다.

14일 대구시교육청은 돌봄 수요가 많은 서대구초, 황금초, 대덕초, 구지초 등 4개교를 늘봄학교 연구학교로 선정했다고 밝히며 이에 따라 4개 학교가 국정과제 초등 전일제 학교’ 및 교육부의 늘봄학교 추진 방향을 토대로 오는 3월부터 늘봄학교 연구 과제를 수행한다고 전했다.

이번 연구학교의 중점과제는 입학 초기 에듀케어 집중 지원, 방과 후 연계형 틈새 돌봄 프로그램 무상 운영, 돌봄 유형의 다양화(20시까지 돌봄교실 운영), 지역 연계 방과 후․돌봄 프로그램 운영 등이다.

교육청은 늘봄학교의 단계적 확산을 위해 학교별 여건에 맞는 일반화 모델을 개발하여 2025년 이후 늘봄학교 전면 시행에 대비할 예정이다.

아울러 연구학교의 원활한 운영을 위해 교당 1명씩 한시 기간제 인력(돌봄전담사)과 연구학교 운영비 2천만 원 및 방과 후ㆍ돌봄교실 예산도 추가로 지원하고, 늘봄학교 운영추진단을 구성하여 저녁 돌봄을 위한 안전 관리, 봉사 인력 및 석․간식 지원 등도 연구학교와 상시 소통하며 지원할 계획이다.

또한 연구학교 이외 학교에 대해서도 2023년 2분기부터 희망할 경우 초1 에듀케어 프로그램 및 틈새 방과 후 프로그램 운영비를 지원할 방침이다.

강은희 교육감은 “학부모의 돌봄 부담을 줄이고, 학생들에게 질 높은 돌봄 혜택을 줄 수 있는 다양한 방안을 찾아 지역 여건에 맞는 모델을 개발하여 적용해 나가겠다.”고 말했다.
