즉각적인 피해조사와 복구를 위한 조치로, 피해 조사는 추석전까지, 이후 조속한 시일내 국가와 지자체 차원의 행정 및 재정적 지원을 받을 수 있도록 하라고 거듭 강조했다.

이를 위해 경북도는 현장지원본부를 포항시청 대회의실에 만들고 △총괄지원반 △응급복구지원반 △생활안정지원반을 구성, 피해복구와 생활 안정을 위한 장비와 인력지원, 이재민 구호, 방역 등의 지원에 나선다. 특히, 필요한 장비와 인력이 적재적소에 투입되어 최대한 빠른 시간 내에 도민들이 일상으로 복귀할 수 있도록 초점을 맞출 예정이다. 

경상북도에 따르면 이번 11호 태풍 ‘힌남노’로 7일까지 사망 10명, 실종 1명, 주상 1명 등 인력 피해가 발생한 데 이어 주택침수 1만1천386건을 포함해 농작물 3985ha, 도로·하천 등 공공시설 1300여 건의 피해가 발생한 것으로 추정되고 있다. 

경북도는 태풍피해 지역에 대한 사전 조사 결과를 토대로 피해액이 확인되는 지역부터 ‘특별재난지역’ 우선 선포와 긴급복구를 위한 ‘재난안전특교세’ 지원 등을 정부에 요청해 놓고 있다.

Gyeongsangbuk-do is requesting the government to first declare a ‘special disaster area’ and support a ‘disaster safety special tax’ for emergency recovery from areas where damage is confirmed based on the results of a preliminary investigation into the typhoon-affected area.
