【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=윤석열 대통령의 비상계엄 선포 사태에 경북대 교수와 학생 등이 4일 '윤석열 퇴진을 위한 경북대학교 비상시국회의'를 출범했다.

이날 오후 3시 30분 경북대 북문앞에서 모인 경북대 교수, 연구자, 학생, 직원, 동문, 퇴직자들은 비상시국회의를 결성하고 “윤석열을 권좌에서 끌어내리고 민주주의 대한민국을 지켜내자”고 선언했다.

이들은 비상계엄 사태를 “민주공화국 대한민국에서 일어날 수 없는 일”이라며 “기이하고 괴의하며 어이없고 황당함이 공포스러울 지경”이라고 비판했다.

그러면서 “지난 3일 밤 공포를 경험한 우리는 더 이상 이것을 끝이라고 생각하면서 안일할 수 없다”며 “윤석열을 당산 용산의 권좌에서 끌어내려야한다”고 주장했다.

비상시국회의 대표인 경북대학교 이형철 교수는 “견고하다고 생각했던 민주주의가 얼마나 쉽게 깨어질 수 있는지 목도했다”며 “더 이상 윤석열은 대통령이 아니다. 이 사람에게 대통령의 권위를 준다면 두 번째, 세 번째 계엄령을 발동하지 않으리라고 누가 장담할 수 있나”라고 반문했다.

경북대 비상시국회의는 출범식 이후 오후 5시 CGV 한일극장 앞에서 진행되는 ‘윤석열 퇴진! 대구시민시국대회’ 참여를 위해 가두행진을 진행하기도 했다.

아울러 ‘내란범죄자 윤석열의 즉각 퇴진을 촉구하는 경북대학교 교수·연구자·학생 릴레이 농성’과 대자보 부착 등 윤석열 퇴진을 위한 다양한 행동을 이어갈 예정이다.
