【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=과학중점학교인 도원고등학교(교장 박대호)가 하브루타 독서토론 아카데미를 진행한다고 11일 밝혔다.

유대인의 교육법인 하브루타 방식으로 진행되는 이번 독서토론 아카데미는 지난 8일 시작되어 오는 15일까지 총 3회에 걸쳐 진행된다.

짝을 이루어 서로 질문을 주고받고 논쟁하며 진리를 찾는 토론식 공부법을 통해 참가하는 학생들은 다양한 사고를 키워나갈 것으로 기대된다. 

특히 도원고는 이번 프로그램에서 단편 문학과 직로 직업, 비문학, 시사이슈 등 다양한 텍스트를 활용한 토의·토론으로 책과 놀며 문해력과 공부법을 키울 수 있도록 했다. 

앞서 진행된 1회차 하브루타 독서토론 아카데미에서는 논리적 말하기에 대한 이해를 시작으로 시, 그림, 영상 등 다매체를 활용한 하브루타 실습이 이루어졌으며, 단편 문학 작품을 활용한 7키워드 토의와 1대1 찬반 하브루타 실습이 실시되었다.

이어 오는 12일 2회차에서는 진로직업 텍스트, 스포츠 분야 시사 이슈를 활용한 하브루타 토의·토론 실습이 이루어지며, 마지막 3회차에서는 비문학 작품과 사회·문화 분야의 시사 이슈를 활용한 토의·토론과 소감 나누기로 마무리될 예정이다.

1회차 수업에 참가한 1학년 전승희 학생은 “친구들과 함께 문학책을 읽고 7키워드로 토론한 후 글을 쓰는 과정이 흥미로웠다. 특히 친구와의 소통을 통해 답을 찾아가면서 다양한 시각으로 생각해 볼 수 있어서 좋았다.”고 말했다.

박대호 교장은 “생각을 열고 생각의 폭을 넓히기 위해서는 열린 자세로 적극적으로 소통하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다. 이번 프로그램은 우리 학생들이 토의와 토론을 통해 자신의 의견을 만들고 발산적 사고를 할 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 것이며, 자신에게 맞는 학습법을 찾을 수 있을 것이다.”라고 밝혔다.

Seong-hee Jeon, a first-year student who participated in the first class, said, “The process of writing after reading a literature book with her friends and discussing it with 7 keywords was interesting. It was great that she was able to think from different perspectives, especially as she looked for answers through her interactions with her friends,” she said.

Principal Dae-Ho Park said, “In order to open up and broaden the scope of thinking, it is most important to actively communicate with an open mind. This program will be a great opportunity for our students to create their own opinions and divergent thinking through discussion and discussion, and will be able to find a learning method that suits them.”
