17일 오전 경북대에서 국회 교육위원회의 대구·경북·강원교육청 국정감사가 열렸다.

이날 더불어민주당 김준혁 의원(경기 수원시정)은 대구시교육청이 군위군 관내 소규모 학교를 통폐합해서 IB 학교 육성하겠다는 계획에 대해 질문을 던졌다.

그는 “정책에 대해서 반대가 많다”며 “그럼에도 불구하고 대구시교육청은 거점학교 육성 정책을 계속 밀어붙일 계획인가”라고 물었다.

그러면서 지난 6월 진행된 설문조사에서 ‘대구교육청이 각종 교육정책을 시행할 때, 교사 의견을 충분히 수렴하는지’를 묻는 질문에 81.1%가 ‘그렇지 않다’고 답변한 것을 언급했다.

김 의원은 “강 교육감이 학부모님이나 학생들하고 소통이 잘 안 된다는 생각이 든다”며 “보다 적극적인 소통을 바란다”고 말했다.
