지난 13일 홍준표 대구시장에 대한 견제를 강조하며 거수기 역할을 하지 않겠다고 여러 차례 밝혀왔던 대구시의회가 대구시를 대신해 공공기관 통폐합 조례를 발의하면서 ‘거수기, 청부입법’ 논란이 일었고 이에 대구시민단체연대회의 등 11개 단체가 팔을 걷어붙인 것이다.

앞서 두 차례에 걸쳐 6.1 지방선거 부적격자 명단을 발표했던 이들은 “집행부와 지방의회를 특정 정당이 장악함에 따라 의정감시 활동의 필요성을 더욱 절감한다.”면서 “9대 지방의회 의정활동 감시지표를 선제적으로 제시하고 본격적인 지방의원들의 의정활동을 평가하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
