【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=정의당 이정미 대표가 “홍준표 대구시장은 자신의 입장 이외의 것에 대해 헛소리 취급하는 것이 가장 큰 문제”라며 강하게 비판했다.

이정미 대표가 23일 오후 1시 정의당 재창당 전국대장정 기자회견을 위해 대구를 찾았다.

이날 이 대표는 “홍준표 시정으로 대구시가 참 팍팍하게 변해가고 있다.”면서 “대구 시정의 퇴행을 막고 시민들의 일상을 지키기 위해 정의당이 노력하겠다.”는 의지를 밝혔다.

그는 대구시의 무상급식, 도서관 운영, 무임교통 등과 관련한 복지 축소, 파크골프장 신설 계획과 같은 실속 없는 난개발 등 대구시정의 문제점을 꼬집었다.

이와 함께 홍준표 시장에 대해 “지지층만을 대상으로 자신의 고집을 극단적으로 밀어붙인다.”고 평가하면서 “대권까지 꿈꾸시는 분으로서 자신과 의견이 다른 사람들의 이야기에 귀를 기울이고 함께 이야기할 수 있는 통 큰 배포가 필요한데 자신의 입장 이외의 것에 대해 헛소리 취급하는 것이 가장 큰 문제”라고 비판하기도 했다.

한편 이날 오전 국회 국토교통위원회에서 대구경북 신공항 특별법이 통과된 가운데 정의당 심상정 의원이 유일하게 반대 입장을 개진한 것에 대해 이정미 대표는 “심상정 의원의 입장이 우리 당의 입장”이라고 밝혔다.

이 대표는 “공항 이전에는 찬성하나 부지 전반에 대한 예타 면제 등 특권을 안겨다 주는 것에는 문제가 있다는 것이 반대의 이유”라고 설명했다. 

그러면서 “대한민국은 공항 건설로 인한 난개발로 전국이 몸살을 앓고 있다.”며 “이렇게 지어지는 공항들이 경제성 효과는 있는지 환경성에 대한 타당성은 있는지 또 안전성 문제에 대해서는 충분히 검토가 되었는지 면밀하게 따져봐야 한다.”고 입장을 덧붙이기도 했다.
