이에 따라 경실련 유권자운동본부는 더불어민주당 서재헌 후보에 대해 핵심공약 모두 이행방안, 재원방안 등 부재한 부실공약이라고 꼬집었으며 실현성에 의문을 제기했다.

또한 국민의힘 홍준표 대구시장 후보는 대구신공항 예타면제, 동대구로 벤처밸리 규제완화 등 묻지마식 개발사업을 공약으로 내놓았다고 비판했다.

정의당 한민정 대구시장 후보는 노동·기후위기·돌봄 등 대구시민 삶에 긍정적인 영향을 끼칠 공약이라며 재원 등을 구체적으로 제시했다고 평가했다.

더불어민주당 임미애 경북도지사 후보에 정책에 대해서는 지방소멸 및 친환경 재생에너지 등 정책 제시하였으나 세부내용에 구체성이 결여되었다고 말했다.

국민의힘 이철우 경북도지사 후보는 대구통합신공항 건설 개발공약과 보육부담제의 수천억 재원확보방안이 미흡하다고 꼬집었다.
